This new piece of technology introduced to the jewelry industry is one of the many innovative tools the owners of Eggleston Jewelers use to create for their customers exactly what they desire. Doug and Tamara Eggleston have recently gone through intensive advanced training for computer aided jewelry design. This special training gives them the tools to create unique custom jewelry designs only you can imagine.

Along with the computer aided design training came the computer aided mill training. Doug and Tamara are proud owners of their own computer aided mill that mills the wax for each custom piece. This technology allows them to be more intricate and precise creating unique designs like never before. Custom designs that were not feasible by hand now have endless possibilities. The mill currently operates at the front of their store in downtown Tecumseh. It is the only jewelry computer aided mill in Lenawee County.

The process from idea to finished product is very hands on for the customer. The first step in the design process is conveying what you are looking for in the final product. Once we understand your concept, have agreed to a price, and set the completion date, we begin the designing. Rendered photos of our progress, like the ones shown on this page, are easily e-mailed to you. With these photos the piece can be discussed and changes can be made. The photo gives the customer an exact idea of what the final product will be. From there the wax is milled. This allows the customer to see the "ring" in 3D before casting. They can try it on and even see their stone(s) placed in it. The final steps are casting, polishing, and setting the stones. The end result is a beautiful custom design created just for you.
